Artist: Korotory
Album: God Less America
Year: 2010
Genre: Thrash/Death/Groove Metal
According to my previous post these guys have been at it for 15 years but only released 1 album. Well it looks like they are making up for lost time because these bad mother fuckers are back with a new album which will kick you pussy ass from here to the moon. Pounding, grinding and relentless.

Artist: Korotory
Album: Age of Rebellion
Year: 2009
Genre: Thrash/Death/Groove Metal
New York based Korotory, have been together since 1995 but “Age of Rebellion” is their first official release. You’d think that in a 15 year time span that a band would have put out a lot more music but you cannot rush perfection. Yes perfection. This album is a perfect mix of killer groove riffs, pounding drums and screaming vocals that makes every track better than the last.

Listen: Korotory – Age of Rebellion
Artist: Phazm
Album: Antebellum Death’n Roll
Year: 2006
Genre: Death N’ Roll
I hope you like Death N’ Roll because that’s all you’re gonna see this week. (Probably not.) Phazm’s “Antebellum Death’n Roll” is yet another gem from the bowels of eMusic. Death N’ Roll, Sludge, Doom whatever this is pretty awesome. Phazm are from Nancy, France and formed in 2003 with members from Scarve, Sybreed and many other Industrial, Sludge Stoner, Metal bands. “Antebellum Death’n Roll” is the bands 2nd of 3 albums and IMHO I think it is their best work. The songs away from head-bangin’ stoner metal, thrashy grooves and grinding metal and back again.
While we’re on the subject of France how ’bout that Football Team getting beat by South Africa!
Here’s the eMusic page with all three of their albums.

Artist: Kowloon Walled City
Album: Turk Street EP
Year: Sludge/Doom
Genre: 2008
This is KWC’s debut 5 track EP, “Turk Street” that is prelude to their full-length album “Gambling on the Richter Scale”. I am surprised that this release “Turk Street” didn’t get them a record deal with someone and even more surprised that they still don’t have a deal.
“Turk Street” is 5 tracks of Sludge Metal with a nice dose of fuzzy distortion here and there. In my earlier post I compared these guys to Howl’s 2010 album “Full of Hell” and similarity I was hinting at was with the vocals that sound very guttural and growling which, I have to say is even more noticeable on this EP. I may actually like this EP better than their full-length because it leans more to the Sludge/Thrash than the Doom but don’t take my word for it, I’m just some guy with blog who’s having a slow day at work.
Show these guys some green a there store.

Artist: The Misanthrope Project
Album: Your World is Sickening
Year: 2009
Genre: Sludge/Thrash
I was having a rough day at work yesterday and I needed something to get me fired up; that’s when I loaded up The Misanthrope Project. Hate, anger, disgust and apathy all fueled by a drug induced depression painted on a back-drop of a cohesive jaw-clenching wall of sound. Even though my day got worse by the minute this album gave me that extra twinge of anger to keep me going.
Of all the pissed off bands that I listen to I think these guys are the real deal. I fucking love it.
The bands status is sketchy. The album status is sketchy. The singers grip on reality is sketchy.
