Remember way way back when Metallica all about playing loud, fast and heavy ass metal and didn’t give a fuck about selling out arenas every night? Oh Christ what the hell am I saying that was 25 years ago. Fuck I’m getting old.

Anyway Mendozza’s debut release “HMS Uganda” is the very definition of “garage days”. This album is raw metal at it’s finest, the lyrics are kind of simplistic and the riffs are basic but that’s the beauty in it all. This is the sound of 3 people playing the kind of music that they would want to hear.

Here’s a band that I cannot get enough of right now, Mendozza. They hail from Vancover, Canada and they chug out some killer stoner doom metal riffage. It reminds me of Garage Days Re-visited but way WAY heavier.
